What should i do???
Well, im in a sticky situation as you can see, both armies are on the defensive, i was outnumbered to start with, but i had lead parts of the enemy army to my defensive wall, and have slaughtered most of them. I was wondering, should i risk and all out attack, or should i wait, and try to lure them to my defensive wall??? I have some people for my catapults, but i dont want to risk them on the battlefield, they are one of the things that have took down many walls so far. Here are some pics of the battle so far, the enemy army consists of 2 units of town guard, two units of spearmen, and one unit of depleted armed sergeants, and the mailed knights, but spearmen can kill those easily...

Re: What should i do???
I am expecting another attack from the English, with an army from Lancaster, so i need to save as many men as possible

Re: What should i do???
just try some tricks with your general :laugh4: dunno really i would try to get a good charge in the back of the infantry and try to rout them. first kill general of course if he isent dead

1st
w/e that missle unit is attacking you has gotta go. Send in your officer then
return him to your lines once they are dislodged/destroyed
2nd
all welsh spearmen on the left side the rest of your forces on the right. the right side being a line of spear men x2 then your empty archers spaced away from the AI but still "in" your spear formation with your officer behind them.archers off skirmish.
now charge!
let infantry engage 1st then ur officer (safety reasons)
keep 1 unit of spearmen (preferably 1 at the ends of line for flanking reasons)
selected during the attack and send them running to the knights. flank any attack to that spear unit with your officer. since you appear to outnumber the AI you will at this moment be surrounding them.
or... the classic cheapie.
pick a "sacrifice" unit and keep drawing em in and routing them with your officer as they leave formation to attack.

Re: What should i do???
I would move my general out and see how the enemy responds. If they do respond I use my general as bait to get them to run after him and into my waiting spear heads. If they stay put I'll circle the general around back of the english some distance and hold him there.
It looks like the english have the high ground so I would move my units to higher ground or at least level to theirs. I would march them slowly towards the english line with your 8 unit spear milita at point. As soon as english engage the spear militia I would run the milita back to your main body and have your body halt and go into guard mode. Once the main body is engaged I charge in the general from their rear over and over until the english rout.

Re: What should i do???
I done it, i charged my general into their side rank of town guards, then charged two units of spearmen into the centre, another 2 into the top. once my general killed the town guards he flanked the others and pretty soon all resistance evapourated

Re: What should i do???
If I was in your situation i would of gone with the roman v(wich is how they deafeted bouticca)in a defensive position, line your units the a W,and the enemy will run into a flanked position and you can butcher them all you like!!(TRUST me,try it in custom)
Ex.(.=enemy)
. . . . . . . . ........

Re: What should i do???
Looks like a pretty straightfoward battle with numbers on your side, just charge all your infantry, Once the enemy knights move into the fight get behind the enemy with your general and charge! into the back of the largest enemy unit.
Looks like the enemy got pretty messed up by your archers. If you are really trying to conserve men you could probably win the battle with only your general, but against that many men there is a chance he would die.
