Glitch or deliberate gag?
I was playing as the Pahlava, facing an AI Seleucid general commanding two units of Pantodopoi. The strange thing was that when this AI general gave group commands, the two units responded with the female "YAH!" sound from vanilla and BI. What the?
I'm afraid I don't have a save file - instinctively overwrote it after the battle -
but seeing as its just a sound file I assume it can be investigated?
Re: Glitch or deliberate gag?
Still no reply!? In the meantime Ive noticed that sound is used by a lot of Hellenic units. Does anyone know what file I need to edit to change it? Seeing as noone else seems to mind.
Re: Glitch or deliberate gag?
No idea. You could try the validation of course.
Re: Glitch or deliberate gag?
I know what you mean; still it's sorta random. (There being x files to choose from for the engine, IIRC.)
In any case, if it really bothers you: take a look at export_descr_sounds_soldier_voice.txt (EDSSV)
Re: Glitch or deliberate gag?
I wish you guys could script something that if it detects a long play time, an adviser would pop up and say something like,
"The EB team encourages healthy sleep patterns; so, *insert something witty and offensive here*"
Re: Glitch or deliberate gag?
And what does this have to do with the OP's problem?
Re: Glitch or deliberate gag?
Thanks lads. I'll replace it with the old "AYE!" if I can find the file for it.
