It's in the generic script.
Hit F1. On the scroll that appears, click on the "?" button. When the advisor pops up, click the "Show me how" button.
ah, ok... thanks...
Or you could copy the line that's between begin script and end script and then paste it in EBBS. I did that because I was too lazy pressing F1...
I thought you just had to remove the // in the script.
nah, it was the ";" but they moved that line to the generic script for some reason.
may i ask why they did it?
Because it is a waste of space in the EBBS and doesn't do any harm in the generic script. 'sides there used to (as in I suggested it be removed) exist one such line in the campaign_script.txt file too -- meaning 2 redundant line as far as properly functioning scripts is concerned.
It's still used for testing purposes; which is why it got included with the generic_script.
ah.... i see....
so where should i put it in the EBBS, b/c whenever i use it it makes all my victory conditions flash, and thats not too good for an AAR....
Just push the "?" in the faction screen and the flashing will stop (if that doesn't toggle perfect_spy again, that is).Quote:

Then, my friend, you have bigger problems then flashing white squares. :clown:Quote:

This might be a stupid question, but what is perfect_spy, and what does it show?
I suppose the name might be some kind of clue, but I just can't figure it out at the moment...
Oh, and I'm too lazy to fire up EB at the moment and find out for myself...
If a unit or spy spots an enemy stack, it depends on his intrigue level and proximity whether he can identify the units and unit sizes in the stack. Perfect spies removes these factors, allowing you to identify the units in a stack without the need to employ a spy.

So I could use it to check out what the Qarthadastim family members are called, to ensure there's no pre-existing Hannibal?
Oh, yeah. Basically put: toggle_fow + perfect_spy => You can see everything but hidden armies (those lying in ambush)
Which also has the unfortunate side effect of making assaniation/sabotage scrolls a bit slower.
Can it be toggled off again once you've had your look around?
perfect_spy will not allow you to see enemy general's traits, however.
Yes, you can toggle it off. And it works exactly like turning it on; really all the generic_script does at this moment is toggling perfect spy. (Thus, after you've run the script the first time perfect_spy will be on; run it next time and it will switch itself off; run it yet again to turn it back on. Etc. etc.)
No problem, I just need to know their names.Quote:
