Problems with Vanilla after trying to play with BI

As some of you may have noticed a week ago I was asking about how to play EB on BI. Even though I followed the guides it didn't work, and I uninstalled my Rome files and prepared to play EB through Vanilla. Except now I have a problem.

I have currently got Vanilla installed freshly on version 1.0, and since I know that EB needs vanilla to be patched to 1.5 for it to work I've downloaded the updates in the hope that I'll be able to play EB again. Does it work though? Does it hell.

Some reason whenever I open up the 1.2 patch it says 'your version of Rome is already patched to 1.2' even though when I open up Rome and go into options it says 1.0 at the top! Can anyone help me? Thanks

Your computer still thnks you have rome patched to 1.2 on your computer.

you might have to go into your systems registory.either that or patch to 1.3 then 1.5

You need to delete the registry keys relating to the 1.2 patch using regedit.

Your computer thinks 1.2 is installed, but the game isn't patched.

You don't need the 1.2 patch to update to 1.5; just 1.3 and then 1.5.

A whole ton of places. Totalwar.com for example. Try using google next time.

For the 1.2 thing I always use the 1.3 installer and choose the repair button, seems to do the trick since the installing option wont work.
