Questions regarding installation of EB 1.1 and fixes
Dear forum,
I just read that it isn´t such a good idea to install RTW/EB 1.1 in the program files folder. Nevertheless, I HAVE stupidly installed the game in this folder (called “Programme” in the German windows directory). Now, must I be afraid that my game crashes sooner or later? I´m playing with WINDOWS XP.
Furthermore, I try to update the fixes for EB 1.1 in my game weekly. But what implies “Retroactive”, “Probably Retroactive” and “Not Retroactive”? In my understanding I can not continue my current campaign if I load up “Retroactive” and “Probably Retroactive” files, but have to start a new campaign. Is this assumption correct?
Does the “Initial client ruler interlopers”-fix affect my running game? At least, the map.rwm-file has to be replaced…
Thank you in advance for your answers,
Regards
Marcel

Installing under Program files is not a problem with XP.

Basically, in this case it means it has effect on ongoing campaigns, as opposed to new campaigns started after installing the fix.
So as the interloper fix is not retroactive, it will not affect your current campaigns but only new ones.
Edit: I've put the explanation in the fixes first post, as you failed to see that in the post further down.

Thank you so much for your answer – now I´m somewhat “pacified”!
I really hope that I´m not going to experience a CTD with EB 1.1 (0.81 has in fact operated very solid on my computer), because my Romani campaign is amazingly fascinating!
Thank you for releasing such a wonderful game!
