Changing Difficulty in mid-game--is it possible?
I am about 60 turns into my first M2:TW campaign as England. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to change the difficulty settings from medium/medium to hard/hard, it's simply to easy at this stage in the game.
I think it would be great if I could increase difficulty half-way through a campaign, then it wouldn't become boring so quick. Just when I am about to become invincible, I can make things a lot harder.
Thanks for the help.

Oh, Id also like to know if it's possible to check the difficulty you're playing at mid-game. Im always paranoid that Ive accidently put it on Easy or something.

You can download MedManager which allows you to check and change your difficulty levels. I downloaded it when I wanted to change the difficulty level on my Turkish LTC campaign.
Unfortunately I am not sure if it works for vanilla 1.2 though. But definately worth a shot.
I'll post a link in just a minute. BRB

Thanks! Does that change anything else? I wouldn't want it to mess with the game mechanics or anything.

You can manually change other settings (why you would I don't know), as well as the difficulty, and it will not affect the game mechanics, nor will it cause ctd's.

Medmanager will bug out with certain mods, but you can fix it by carrying the save file over to vanilla folder, fix it there with medmanager, then move it back to the mod save folder.
Some mods will work fine, retrofit mod requires you to move mod save files around a bit.
