questions that are bugging me

Hi There,

I got some questions, which may seem a bit pathetic, but they're bugging me.

Basically, having conquered a load of territory, I decided to take a back seat and simply watch the game unfold, noting things of interest. This raised some issues:

1. How come I don't get any princesses in the later game? Playing with the BBB mod, I receive regular notification of foreign princesses coming of age - but cannot do anything about it because I don't get any princesses after the first few years.

2. How come, whenver I place a merchant on a trade resource, some foreign merchant steals it next turn? How come my merchants are easy to get rid of but foreign merchants aren't?

3. How come, when I lose settlements to the AI, my income goes up not down? I was simply letting things happen and auto-calcing all sieges. I lost most of my territory but ended up richer than before.

4. How come, when I let my merchants die off without replacing them, my income seemingly does not suffer?

5. How come, after the Black Death event, when I check the population graph, some factions hardly seem affected?

6. What happens to the buildings in a building queue, after the settlement falls to the AI? Do those buildings still get built or not?

1. Random chance of getting female offspring. If you don't adopt anyone, your chances of getting princesses tends to be higher due to more free slots.

2. AI is coded to only attack merchants that are on a resource. Chance based attack/defense rating.

3. Settlements usually have garrisons that cost. Also, the impact on income tends to be visible a turn later usually.

4. As above really.

5. Some settlements are not coded to be hit by the black death and others may have a lot of public health to stop much from happening.

6. Gets cancelled and you get a a refund.
