Can you create and kill characters in the game, other then killing them in battle

Yes, you can create an Achilleas with a unit of Mirmidons as bodygards :)
Just kidding, man! Don't mind me!

It is possible to create or kill a character by writing a script. But if you mean in-game killing a character, then there is no way.
