There's a unit where I start a custom battle with the unit, I get to the speech part ok, but as soon as a click on start deployment I get an errorless CTD. Any suggestions on where to start looking looking?
The unit in question is the only unit in my army, and the unit in the opposing faction's army does not cause a CTD (I've used them in other custom battles).
The unit's sound files are all ok? And does the CTD occur using vanilla formations?
Aradan's instincts seem right - sound or formations....
The deployment phase and moving units seems to trigger the 'taunt' phase of sound and animations, see if there is anything up with that. We had a phase where our Ogre with an unusually large sound file for the taunt caused a problem about this point.
Is it infantry or cavalry?
I had this problem with one chariot unit because of incompatibility of the general animation with it. That unit worked perfectly if the general was not included in it.
Have you also CTD when the unit has no general in it?
