stone & arrow projectors

I'm playing Romani in Polybian times, halfway there to Marian.
For the most part I've been conquering through military strategy
and haven't had to resort to super-duper elite units,
hence MICs <= level 3.

Just lately, I've upgraded Rome's MIC to level 4, getting Pedites
Extraordinarii. When I right-clicked the level 5 MIC in the buildscreen,
it didn't show any projectors (ballistae or onager equivalents) like I was
anticipating.

There' no unit cards included in the Recruitment Viewer
for these projectors either.

So I was wondering if it's because I need Marian reforms in order
to get them? Or do I need a certain level Academy-type buiilding
(a la RTW Vanilla style)?

You need the Marian reform to get them. MIC 3 for the tiny ones, MIC 4 for the bigger equipment. :yes:

More motivation to get Marian.

Erm... little correction: MIC 4/5 instead of 3/4. Sorry.
You can check things like this easily with a little help from the recruitment viewer.
