This is the list of all avatars available for selection at the start of the game.
Notes
1) If an avatar appears to have cut-off traits, those traits are only supply system traits. All important traits are shown in the mugshots.
2) All province titles will be redistributed after avatar selection is completed. Any titles on a current avatar should be ignored for the purposes of selection.
3) The traits Has the King's Eye and Unwatched by the King result from starting in the FL's stack or starting far away from the FL's stack. They are temporary traits and can be gained or lost by being in the same spot as the Basileus.
4) Avatar positions in the game are not set in stone. All avatars may choose which settlement they start in, and they will be transported to that spot before the game starts.
5) Any RBG avatar which is not selected by the time the game is ready to start will be killed off.

Initial avatar selection will be done like a sports draft. All players were arranged in order of their participation in KOTR and the Test Game. Players with the most participation pick first. In the event of tied scores, the names were put into random.org, which spit back the order. The order for picking is as follows:

We will go down the list and each person will pick their avatar from amongst those still available. I will do my best to remove the mugshots of 'taken' avatars and move them to the Library, but I'm online 24 hours a day and sometimes I may be a bit slow. Please check to make sure that the avatar selected by the person above you has been properly removed. If it has not, you should probably double check the list to make sure you're not picking an avatar that has already been taken by someone else.
If you do not like ANY of the avatars available, you may instead defer selection. After the game has started, avatars will continue to be spawned every turn until everyone who has deferred has an avatar.
IMPORTANT: To keep this moving as fast as possible, after you have selected your avatar and posted in this thread, please send a PM to the person who is next in line to let them know that it is their turn to pick.
OverKnight has already chosen Basileus Aleksios Komnenos.
Because he's disloyal, a fair fighter, but still has a dark-side alignment. Which is perfect for who I intend to roleplay. I also like the name and the avatar, which is a big plus.
Given that he has 2 for loyalty and no command stars, I'm pretty sure no one else will want him. He's dead last on the list.
I know it's not my turn to select, and I won't protest at all if someone picks him, but in case he isnt picked, he's my first choice.
edit: nevermind, we should do this in order, as TinCow suggests.

Tbh I don't really care who I get, they all have similar traits.
I'm traveling around South America for workshops...I might have a small delay in choosing. So far Igno needs to select then me. Please bare with me if there is about a 1 day delay due to me flying somewhere.

hope AG still saw that Byblos. I must admit I have my eye on Makedonios, and only for his name rather than his exceedingly good stats. Not that that should deter anyone! Choose freely! :2thumbsup:

I can't pass up the opportunity to roleplay one of the Comneni, and a historical one at that.
I choose Prince Ionnis!
The only downside is I get stuck with the same annoying avatar as Hapburg, but I'm not complaining.

The game will not start until everyone on the above list has had a chance to pick an avatar. I'm hoping things will speed up once AG gets back, which will apparently be today or tomorrow. If they don't, I'll figure out a way to try and speed it up, including skipping people who are particularly slow without a good excuse for it (this doesn't apply to AG).

I always thought the John/Ionnis in MTW2 was the fellow who continued Alexios' success against the Turks and was one of the Empire's best Emperors.

I have already sent out a PM so that people below AG can submit their top avatar preferences to me. That way when AG gets back, we should be able to cross off several people at once. Please respond promptly when you get that PM. AG said he would be gone for one day, and that was two days ago. If he hasn't posted by the time I wake-up tomorrow morning, I will skip him and he can have the top pick whenever he gets online.

Sorry about the delay. I'm in transiting through Buenos Aires to Brazil...sounds exciting but it's totally nuts. This is my third flight today...:wall:
I'll take the blond boy Apionnas Vringas...that's about as opposite to Arnold as I can get...now I just need to work out his story.
Well, he's older, his stats are spread unevenly (and don't add up to that much), and his name reminds me of a Seinfield character, but I feel oddly compelled to pick Kosmas Mavrozomis. :clown:
