Re: Force Diplomacy Bug's
the other cities flashing can happen when u just x out of the diplomacy screen without closing the advisor after the deal.
Re: Force Diplomacy Bug's
To stop the cities from flashing simply press "?" again.
And if you use FD, make sure you don't forget to reset the advisor first.
Re: Force Diplomacy Bug's
Thank you both of you , I really apreciate
Re: Force Diplomacy Bug's
If you've taken settlements off someone with FD, always save and reload before pressing next turn.

Why is that?
And then you'd have to quit EB and restart it every time too, because the script messes things up if you play more than one savegame in one session.

I find if I've taken settlements off people and try to play next turn, it always crashes.
Could that be causing problems with the script, the fact that I'm doing a save-load every time I move settlement around, without quitting and restarting?
Re: Force Diplomacy Bug's
It wouldn't cause anything serious, but it could make you jump all the way to 14AD and back a few times.
I've never encountered that CTD though. Anyway if anyone does encounter it, it seems that you've got the solution!
Re: Force Diplomacy Bug's
I tried to use it with BI for EB of Ferromancer even I could not open a campaign :sorry2:
I need to balance diplomacy cos I am working with my AAr with Pahlava. :help:

I am no authority on the matter but I think I know that if nothing else it could cause memory problems for you. Merely reloading a save game will take up memory from that save game aswell as some from the previous because the allocation is not completely reset before you quit the game or to the main menu ( dont know if this applies to all kinds of applications but Total War games seems affected ) and unless you use software to clear the memory it is often a good idea to restart windows if for example you had a lot of programs running before opening the game. Depending of course on how much memory you have, and it may be that modern PC´s and Vista/XP have no need for this.
I´ve also seen posts here concerning script errors occuring when loading a save game on top of another ( of a different campaign ), and I´ve seen the one with the damaged buildings myself.
I believe the crashes following moved settlements are because of the rebellion CTD only which can, among other solutions, be avoided by creating garrisons - which I find the easiest workaround - I never restart/reload when having done so no more ( as I´ve written elsewhere ), although it is necessary when not using create_unit.
