PJ is pretty close to the truth, in that these people are largely role-playing fantasists. This particular one seems more dangerous, as he has more initiative than most. Nearly all "Neo-Nazis" are effectively foot-soldiers in their beloved "race war", they're not thinkers or leaders, but ideologically spoon-fed followers. I characterise most far-right organisations as composing mostly idiots, with one very intelligent man at the top pulling their strings - he may not even believe the ideology himself.
As to what happens to him - well, if it hadn't been for the paedo stuff, he probably would have ended up sharing a cell with a radical jihadi, but as Tribesy says, he's going to be sectioned with the nonces now.
Severe case of irony recently (and sorry don't have any links, I heard it on Radio 4 News) one BNP (that's the far-right "we're not racists, we just hate foreigners" British National Party) "activist" actually managed to get himself converted to Islam and became a radical jihadi whilst in a British jail.
