Right now would be a bad time. Since it is summer, there is less activity.

And don't let the public forums fool you. Many of the more publicly vocal team members have left, some have stopped commenting in the public forums, and most of the new recruits are not very vocal.

I think an army of conscript modders would "finish" the mod in a sense other than the one you intended.
