Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
been dissabled due to the adding of sabyn faction
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
I'm not 100% about exactly why but adding Saba made some of the scripted stuff go wrong, like the collapse of the Seleukid Empire and returning Alexanders body. Do a forum search and you might find an answer.
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
For whatever reason, those 2 events needed the Senate faction. Since there is no more senate faction, which became the Saba, they don't work.
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
I wonder why they needed the senate faction...:sweatdrop:
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
I don't believe this was one of the things lost due to the inclusion of Saba. IIRC, it was simply removed because it was extremely complex to do and didn't always work the way it should have.
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
Raise.
Actually, I actually got the trait in one of my Epirote games, haha. Somehow, the trait stuff got mixed up and one of my generals suddenly had the 'Alexandros returned' trait, heh.

Really? So I could add it by using a cheat or something? I don't think you went and destroyed his tomb, as only Makedonia and the Seleukidai can do that, right?

Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
The trait is still there, yes.

Nah, I wasn't anywhere NEAR Alexandreia at the time, let alone fighting Ptolemaioi.
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
Incidently,k where is MA's tomb IRL? Is it still standing? If so, I guess his body isn't still in it, but where, if we know, is it?
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
We don't know.
It could have burned by an uprising in Alexandria during which the Library was also burned (300 AD somewhat), or it could have been placed to some other location. The only thing we know for sure is that Septimius Severus closed the access to the Tomb because there were too many tourists.
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
Yeah, they're (archeologists) looking for it. The most possible location is Egypt, but none can tell for sure. As Hax said, we don't even know if his tomb exists anymore. Anyway, I would be glad if someone could tell me the name of this trait as I'm thinking of RP his return at some point.
Thanks in advance,
Maion
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
I'll try to make it work again it really is a very interesting feature and I would like to restore it... it's not imposible that's for sure
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
Yeah, like the AS falling apart. Would also also be nice to bring back.
Maion
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
what would happen when the AS fell apart? would it become like a much rebel faction or parts of it be like SCREW U AS IM JOIN PHALVA!
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
Well, nothing would REALLY happen, but there would be special markers and alerts in-game which would tell you that Seleukeia was breaking up.

You mean the AS are no longer able to fall apart with all of those splendid messages describing its breakup??? I have never witnessed the breakup in the EB campaign before and does that mean that I will never be able to witness it anymore (I play v1.1)?
Also, can anyone please elaborate on what Hax said? Does he mean that AS does not cease to exist or even lose any of its territories on the campaign map while those breakup messages say that AS is falling apart? Then what triggers the messages?

Alas, the inclusion of Saba screwed up the messages for the AS, so 0.7 onwards you can't witness those messages.
I wasn't around before 0.8, but I think that what triggered the messages would be the loss of main cities; Ekbatana, Susa, Seleukeia, Antiocheia, Ipsos, Susa, Persepolis.
I really, really hope this could be fixed for EB2 though.

D'oh!
Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
Yeah, but you can find the pictures in the EB/fmv map. Just look for baktria_rebels or something, it has other pics like the Seleukid Anabasis, the Sharashahasomething for the Pahlavans, as well as the Yuehzi destroyed picture.

Shahanshah would be the term (King of Kings).

Re: The Tomb of Alexandros
If you conquer Susa, Ekbatana, Persepolis, Babylon (No idea wether Seleukeia is also) A message pop-up will appear says : you cleared them, ok now you're Shahanshah now ( King of Kings) lets wipe out the others who oppose you (something like that)..
Parthians, Sassanids, many Persian States including Turkic Dynasties used the same term also..
Ottoman Sultans used Padishah (I think same meaning as shahanshah)...
I do not think that this may be the original tomb of Alexander.

This is also called as the tomb Of Alexander :
Quote:
Found in 887 in Sayda. Two side of the tombs has the relief that shows the battles between the Megas Alexandros and Persians. Because of that reason it is called as "Tomb Of Alexander". Height 2.12 m., lenght 3.18 m. width 1.67 m. (Now in İstanbul Archeological Museum)
