I'm going to UNI. First year.
Planning on 5 years of accounting, like Kush, in order to obtain a master's degree.
After 3 uni's declined my admission (UM, MSU & WSU, due to affirmative action concerns), and Dad lost his Ford job, I dropped out of high school and found work. A teacher friend hooked me up with the GED, and I took night courses at Oakland Community College. The Army intervened, and I took CLEP tests, and attended whatever local community college courses I could.
Eventually, Chaminade University in Honolulu offered (since I was a GI) to consolidate all my credits and short, month-long, but intensive, courses to "catch me up". So I burned up my saved leave time, and used the GI Bill to pay for, and attend, those. I never finished a degree, since I got transferred to some fairly nasty places to do security. After discharge, I've taken some paralegal courses from National University, thinking to prepare for my third career. But had to stop that recently.
To answer "what uni are you going to?", I have to say: Chaminade University. Nice place. Good folks. Maybe they'll take me back. :)
Hopefully University of Queensland, if they want me.
I'm considering applying to Oxford :scared:
But also thinking about going to America. Though it would be expensive and maybe not such a good idea...
BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Salford, with the 2nd year spent on an exchange programme at the University of Toledo (USA)
So let me get this right, they rejected you because you were too white?Quote:
After 3 uni's declined my admission (UM, MSU & WSU, due to affirmative action concerns),
University of Technology, Sydney (top rated in all disciplines :2thumbsup:), in my first year of a double degree, Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Information Technology.
Already finished one degree in Theoretical Physics from Durham University, now working on my PhD at Swansea. Speaking of which, I should get back to work. :embarassed:
Graduated in Computer Science and Telecommunications at Trinity College Dublin. Same as captain Blood. And a pirate, just like him.
Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
post graduated (MaIT - major: information systems). One of few schools teaching SAP.
NITH (Norwegian college of information technology)
graduated BaIT - major: Software development.
I went to Imperial college, London to study Medicine. I got an extra degree in Pharmacology whilst I was there, and am now completing training to be a GP, so currently uder the London Deanery.
~:smoking:
Finished my BSc in Biology last year at Imperial and currently in the final stages of my Masters in Public Health here ~:)
So what about you?
Van Milton or something like that.
FH: I have no idea, I'd like to go to Cambridge but I doubt I'd get in.
Got a BA in History at NIU. Was working on a Masters but taking some time off to smell the roses and play PBMs and mafia games. :beam:
Caerleon University, its near newport in south wales, im in the middle of an access course but i will probably stay on there to do my degree....
Katholic University of Leuven, Faculty of Letters and Arts: History. :)
University of Ghent: Law Faculty
On the 15th of September (A mere 3 days after the end of the second half my exams, thank you Swiss Department of Education for giving me such a long break!), I shall be starting Geneva University where I shall be studying economics.
However, if all goes well in my exams, which I am sitting at this very moment, I shall be applying to the University of Cambridge to study the rather excitingly-sounding Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic for entrance in 2009, so I have my fingers crossed for that, as well as other universities in the United Kingdom such as Durham, St Andrew's, Bristol and UCL, in case I do really get sick of Switzerland and want a change. However, as going to study in England would mean me losing a year, it's a rather difficult choice to make (other than Cambridge, of course).
BA in History - Wesleyan University (A cookie to anyone who's actually heard of it.)
JD - College of William and Mary, Marhsall-Wythe School of Law
Your uni is UNI? Far out. :laugh4:
