Hi Guys,
another wierd event. I am English. Good Standing and Catholic. Am allied with Catholic Italians.
They, out of the blue declare a crusade on ME!! Can catholic nations do that vs. other catholic nations?
I can crush them and will, but we had 4 mutual allies that all sided with them and it just destroyed all trade i had in Med.
I wanted to leave them alone for a LONG time due to the great trade I had going on.
Is this a fluke? A bug? Or can catholic nations declare crusades on anything and anyone? (Just watch, I will probably get excommunicated for this)

This is a documented bug...
If you have been excommed at any time and the Pope declared he wanted a Crusade in your direction, there will be an opening until a faction actually launches a Crusade.
This is going to be addressed when the elusive patch arrives.

BTW, Danish Crusades are true to history.

Thanks for the explanation. I have been unfairly excommunicated in the past (but pope died) so that explains it.
