On the main forum page, where it lists all the threads that are here - Look on the very top. There is a list of threads with the word "Sticky" written next to them.
Those are the stickies.
They're "sticky" because they're always on the top of the forum threads and never move. This is done to allow people to be able to find them quickly and easily since quite often, answers to many questions can simply be found by reading the sticky.
