From Kingdom to Republic to an Empire

I just love this mod. I am playing the The romani and started as you know with just a few city. The kings are dead and the republica is formed. But for how long in my hands? Many hard battles where fought against both Eperios and the Aeidu. But in the end I had driven out the Aeidu tribes and exterminated the Eperios. The Italian peninsula and rome was secure. And I had some valuable mines in Grece. But the Koinion Hellenoi thought that the former Eperios provinces was their. So I made an alliance with the Makedonians and hell went loose.

First it went well. But then Makedonia broke their alliance and it was every nation for themself. Total chaos and mayhem. Think Sparta was retaken 4 times at a point. Meanwhile looking for a solid income of mines. I went for Spain. I tried to avoid the Qarthadast and only take the netrual provinces. But in the end War was a fact. My first invasion force was defeated. Since it wasn't fully equiped, because most of the military effort was in Grece. But when Grece was under controll. And it was just a mop up. I build up two respectfully invasion forces. And headed for Spain. One army took the sea way to spain. And set shore at Lacetania wich still was under my controll by a miracle. Working their way down towards africa. The second Invasion force took the land way towards pain and seizing Massila and the other towns making a bridge between Italy and spain. Plus making a barrier for the Celti tribes to attack spain in my back. I also built an supportive force that drowe the Qarthadast away from Sicily. Then again headed for Spain. the sea way again. Then Spain was under Republic rule with The LustoannanExterminated and Qarthadast driven away and weakend.

I was preapering to end the celtic tribes but then out of the blue. The Ptolemaiois attacked Byzantion. Since the Selecuid was at war with the Ptolemaiois. I had no trouble to form an Alliance with the Seleucid. And because I had a great income of money. I decided to give them around 1000 dnari each turn. For the war effort against the Ptolemaiois. Even though the Seleucids slowly was driven out Asia minor.

I was fairly sucesfull in the Celtic/gauilsh wars. So I split my two forces. One to enforce the Byzantion and try invade Asia minor. And annother to slowly and carefully advance into Gaul/celtic territories. The war up north went well. Very well with many heroic battles and a very few defeats. But in the east. It was a disaster. The Ptolemaiois had driven the Seleucids away completley. And was the greatest Empire ever seen since Alexander. In fact it was only greece missing. The romani republica had finally found an equal.

With Gaul pacified finally attention completley could be at Asia minor. But even with all effort at The Ptolemaiois. The Republica just couldn't match the hordes of the Ptolemaios empire. But then one general started to stand out in the war. He found the akillies heel. And Even if the Emperial hordes was manny. He deafeted them battle after battle. And suddenly he had claimed half of Asia minor. Reinforcing Asia minor and building up a strong defence. The Hero general came to Rome as an hero. He instructed other generals in the way he fought. Then the new young generals continued the invasion of asia minor. Offical records show that the hero general then went to gaul to fend off an german invasion. This is false though.

Under great secrecy he took the best of his veterans and sailed to the heart of Aegypt. Quickly sacked both Alexandria and almost every town/city down towards the river nile. And before the Ptolies could react. The small navy sneaked into the Erythraeum mare and shiped the small elite force into saftey again. Thus taking some preassure off the war in Asia Minor.

Meanwhile the emperor grew tired on the pesky Qarthadast and launched an small invasion force and finnished the crumbling empire off. Almost withouth a sweat.

Now the Romani Republica has truly become an empire. Stretching from Spain gaul, italy, greece, Asia Minor, Syria, Judaea, river nile, the african shore. And the vision of the new leader of Rome is to rebuild the ancient Persia and merge it with the Roman Empire. Then it will be an Empire who will stand for ever!

Yahy. The romani is closing up to modern sweden. My homeland. Wonder how sweden would be today if it was counqered/occypied by the Roman Empire.

First of all, when you have a moment you wish to capture, you need to press "Print Scr/Sys Rq" button. Then you need to go to the RTW folder and open the "tgas" folder. There you'll find the screenshots. Then you have to convert the screenshots using some image viewing/editing program. Programs such as GIMP or IfranView are free and you can download them on the Internet. After that you will just have to upload the photos on some website, be it your own (if you have one) or a site such as photobucket/picasa/photobucket. Once you have done this you can just click the "insert image" button when posting a reply and type in/paste the URL of the picture.

Or just download Fraps from the interent and take as many as you want!
