Ok some of you will not like this post, others may agree with some points, while others will think I'm on a serious medication. If you havnt read the post on MTW England, you may not realize I am a raging lunitic and lost my sanity after looking at the org everyday to see if the patch is out and knowing that the patch wont do anything to this game anyway.
- First off, more is better. Thats right, Ca decided more is better and hell they'll throw everything in MTW to make it better than STW. Thats right I'm suprised they left out the Martha Stewart rebels who apear out of one of your provinces stark mad and giving you recipes for homeade cranberyy pie. I mean comon' more is better right? It must be true because theirs more shit in MTW than the lost episodes of Doctor Who. More must be better because theres more shit piling up in my house and nobodys going to clean it, so more must be better. Yep thats right I was suprised that MTW didnt include beserking lion units which can only be build in some North African province.
- At this point your reading on because your like me on every drug you can get your hands on, wearing a straight jacket, or plotting to steal the CA mascot dog and run him up the flagpole. Ok lets get it straight more is better right. Well if more is better than how come the details in MTW are like when a woman wants to re-decorate a house on an episode of Trading Spaces. For gods sakes the details in MTW are never ending and make you pull out your hair all night long. How many pop-ups have you had describing the meningless "News" around europe. turn off non-significant events he says and you still get pop-ups declaring Henry the V just took a piss. Ok, ok details make MTW, long, gruelling, and like shopping for boxes. Lets face it the best way to win is to kill people. Who wants to ally with france if they'll attack you next turn? Who wants to marry princess margaret half way across europe when you wont inherit jack crap and find out the prince your trying to marry has already shagged the princess of Poland. Comon' yea I've beat the game on expert and havnt bothered with any of this shit. If CA had made the details mean something then maybe it would be a much greater game than Shogun. Then again if CA had made a much better polished and organized game none of us would be waiting for the patch like a tax return in the mail.
- Clutter. Yea its everywhere. I would have cleaned the kitched today but for gods sakes I was too busy cleaning all the frakin crap out of the province of Mercia. For gods sakes next time I looked at the province Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz were having a Hollywood party with the pope and King Edward III. There was so much meaningless clutter that when the Holy Roman Empire attacked me he sent an army of 1500 diplomats, minstrels, and court jesters. By god if the clutter meant something it would be like piles of gold clusters growing out my kitchen sink. Instead its more like the trash piled sky high and the pop cans littering the table. Yea you know I once was going to do a siege assult but then I found out my IQ isnt less than a flying turds.
- Lets make a million and one units each having no amazing characteristic than a similar unit and call it MTW. Hey I'm a hardcore gamer. I spent all my time daydreaming how cool it would be to recreate the Hundred Years and shagging that hot chick from Braveheart in my chamber bedroom. Ok ok so the last part aint happening but I'm more hardcore hisotrical strategy fanatic than anyone here and personally I find the limitless array of units like the tele marketer calling to sell you chinese stamps used for mailing bohemian basket weaving straw. Theres so many damn units that all have the same function that theres really no point in differenciating between different units. CA is trying to make MTW the in depth version of STW but in reality its turning into overdone episodes of Family Ties. Theres so many units in MTW that are basically the same as each other I'm not too sure If I've been drunk off 50 bud lights and been attracted to some girl who looks like the other one when your terribly drunk. This isnt making an in-depth hardcore strategy game this is being tied to a chair and watching from beginning to end episodes of Friends. Yea I enjoy building Haldberdiers when I know I can be making SWISS HALDBERDIERS. Yes I also know I can be making Haldberdiers according to sexual preference, Haldberdiers of Ethiopian decent, or Haldberdiers with the same last name as Bill Clinton, instead I decided to watch an episode of Jerry Springer and see 100 different Haldberdiers some married to horses others having an affair with a migents lesbion dog throw chairs at each other. Then I woke up this morning and found out the Swiss Haldberdiers were just like any Haldberdier, because their all HALDBERDIERS. I was also going to make some clansmen when I realized the Scots really were all pikemen, then my mind started to explode wondering why the Scots were represented by both Clansmen and Pikemen when in reality the light bubl went off in my brain realizing that Scottish clansmen were the same as Scottish pikemen and lo and behold it was called the Scottish SCHILTRON. After that the mailman came to my door asking me if my mail was the ones adressed to my current residence.
- Yes I'm going crazy, and yes MTW is like seeing those women weightlifters on steroids, its too much stuff we have to see in the WRONG place. Changes, I learned, must be made for the better. Some one could have told me wrong when at 2 AM I'm trying to decide if I should marry my princess to Phillip VI or Ronald McDonald. Whats that you say, marrying your princess basically does jack didilly shit in MTW, oh yea I learned that after marrying 101 princess from 1097-1453 and finding out not one of them accomplished anything aside from finding out the HRE who I was allied to is reinforcing his province to backstab me which I new was coming.
- I am very tired now, I will go to bed and think about how overated MTW was and dream of how in a fairy world MTW wasnt like STW except on STEROIDS.

lol... that is rant if i ever heard one... id suggest though, perhaps you need to take some rest, they have thought out a lot in this game, and i am finally finding out how much each unit can do... for example, Chiv sergeants are awesome in europe, but suck compared to fuedal sergeants... but here we have most people getting chiv sergeants, when really they are outclassed by the inferior in a desert.. this is one expample mind you, and i have now found myself still using Militia sergeants right at the end of my game.. i suggest that instead of ignoring every option your offered, why not use them as a challenge instead

Is there some strange reason Chiv sergeants are worse than Fuedal seargents in desert? I think the fuedal sergeants are not chivilric enough or maybe the chivilric sergeants need to be less chivilric, I think the whole problem here lies in the fact that there are no swiss sergeants, the swiss had sergeants right? Better yet swiss sergeants with pikes but not with guns however containing small knives with 95% steel carbon blades although the carbon blades have silicon bonds of 25% so the swiss pike sergeants are really swiss pike sergeants with 25% less carbonate bonds....oh my god I realized I need to go to bed soon before I have nightmares of chivilric swiss sergeants attacking me with bearded arrows and carbon steel blades that...*snoring*

Lower armour value = slower loss of fatigue = more time before they start getting penalties for being tired; especially emphasized in the desert.

chiv seargents have poor moral while fudeal seargants do not. also itialin inf. is infinetly better than both!
you have some valid points dick. and some good quips. you played the crap out of STW and wanted something more. you bought MTW, and you got something more!
personally i have grown past doing everything i can get my hands on. but, indeed, expirence it to its fullest my freind!
point is: inorder to get the new naval and trading systems, the revised diplomatic and general system, and the more "tactical" tactical system, you must also buy all the little BS stuff, which fills the gaps between the changes of the 2 games(STW and MTW).
