CTD's Stopped?

My roman campaign was going great until sometime around 210bc when the "Die was cast".. I had CTD after CTD every one to two seasons. I was being stubborn so i just kept reloading, i eventually got past 200..I knew it wasn't my PC because i just upgraded and can handle EB fine. Yet between 200 and 190bc the CDT's seemed to start letting up, now going from one to two every few years. The funny thing is that sometime around 180's my CDT just completely disappeared! I'm now at 163bc and going strong if anything i've had one or two CTD's in twenty or more years.
As happy as i am to this it leaves me to ponder....Is their something in the script that is causing the CTD only at a certain time period? and if so knowing this, does that mean if i start up another roman campaign which will happen :2thumbsup.. does that mean i can look to expect CDT's between 210 and 190, then after all is good again?

Perhaps there was a clone that died and made the game stable again.
