Enabling hordes in RTW(EB)?

hello all

i'm trying to enable hordes in rtw (specifically for the europa babarorum mod) but i'm coming up stuck

i have managed to get hordes working fine but the game crashes when i try to sack (capturing but not holding onto) a settlement as horde.

It would be very helpful if someone could point out what files i've got to edit. i'm thinking it has something to do with event messages but i'm not sure.

these are the files changed so far

export_descr_unit.txt (added horde units)
descr_sm_factions.txt (edited factions to enable hordes)
STRATPAGE_03.TGA (copied from the B:TW folder)
shared3.rsd (copied from the B:TW folder)

obviously running with bi.exe


ps is it possible to have the sack city ability for non horde factions?
