Question about outflanking Phlagatain mod...

I was wondering if it were possible to make Phlangatai easier to rout by giving them a special "outflanking weakness." I've found it BEYOND frustrating when i try to outflank these Phalanx units, as they don't even seem to notice that i've rammed 2-3 units up their backsides, and it doesn't really matter about the quality of the phalanx (well, the the lower quality guys just die faster and don't kill as quickly, but they don't PANIC is what i mean to say)

So... are these values even moddable? are they applied to all units? or do they not exist? Does anyone know?

Those values does not exist, unfortunately. You could reduce flank defence compared to frontal defence by transferring points from their armour/defence values to shield, but this would only work on the unshielded side. Anyway, phalangites already have a increased shield and decreased armour value compared to similarly equipped units, in order to simulate their dependence on formation.

I guess you could give them 0 armor

Ludends what do you think about lowering the shield (c'mon its a tiny little circle) and rise the defense skill.

IIRC defence skill only helps when fighting to the front

Well there goes that idea. and i'd rather not mess with the unit balancing. I have a bad history of wrecking things that i touch and not being able to put it back together properly...

And the sides. It would also make the more vulnerable to missile fire.
