Sersiously though - its 2 hours... can you give me a brief run down of its arguments?
you know, now that i had a chance to let it sit in my brain for a while... seems a lot like marx and engles...not sure if i like that.
the idea is that the monetary system does not work because all money is created from debt (which is true) so the monetary system needs to be abolished. sounded good when i was watching it... if you dont have the time, watch it when you do, its a bit too in depth to explain briefly.
the notion is that if we use tidal, solar, and geothermal energy, destroy the corporations, overthrow the political system, get rid of religion, and get rid of money; perfect society.
it still has good points though, as far as how the CIA uses "economic Hitmen", that DOES happen.
Money is a fallacy. money is debt. thats true.
yeah, it sounded great while i was watching it, then i sat for a minute like "whoa....karl marx FTL"
but other than that part, the thing in the beginning about money being created out of thin air by the fed was excellent.
Incorrect the Monetary System works perfectly we now have a big debt problem and we must pay for what we bought simple as that.
A fundamental principle in physics and in life in general is you dont get summit for nothing.
The one that doesnt work is the Political System which constantly tries to subvert this priciple of paying for what we consume by moving it ob to tomorrow this only goes on for so long then the debt must be serviced and a contraction occurs
Everything I've read about these movies has said "conspiracy theories." Everything I've seen in the movie screams "conspiracy theory" to me. Sorry, I don't buy it.
I don't need to waste 2 hours of my life to re-affirm my belief that Marxist utopianism in all it's forms is a destructive and dangerous ideology.
The production values looked great though! :2thumbsup:
serial-faillures
Not necessarily... This seems more like crazy utopianism to me.
Whats more, they know that nobody is ever likely to take them seriously, so they can be as wildly optimistic as they like.
And yes money is debt, for the most part, the rest is what would be opposite the debt. You can't have something from nothing. Debt and actual valuable money are inextricably linked.
