Help with making a new death animation

Hi, I'm fairly new to M2TW modding, but I've searched around and haven't found an appropriate tutorial or answer to my problem, which is:

I want to make a new death animation for units being hit by arrows/bullets for people to use. I'm guessing a few of you are tired of the one single falling-to-knees-and-dropping-forward animation, which is hardly realistic anyway.

My main issue, and why i suspect it hasn't been covered, is that death animations obviously don't loop and you need to create a correct corpse model to end up with.

Apologies for lack of correct terminology; also if any of you know where this HAS been covered (and if there is a tutorial or death animations any of you made earlier) please provide a link and I will stop bothering you!:beam:
