Hmmm, I don't think there's any sport where at least some of the athletes aren't on steroids.
Re: baseball on its way out?
Personally I stopped watching after the last strike. The trouble for baseball and steroids is that the league actively covered it up for a few years before realizing that policy was unsustainable and reversing it, which is why you have Barry 'Big Head' Bonds and Mark 'Big Boobs' McGwire the face of the most mocked generation of baseball players ever to live.

Ditto.
Phillies-mania is running rampant here, yet I can't get excited to watch the game for the game itself. I tuned in briefly last night just to get a score update, but only because it is such a major local event.
Re: baseball on its way out?
I think it's on its way out. I saw a chart with the percentage of viewers and what sport the watched. NFL and college football combined for over 50%. I think NBA + college was 15%, baseball was 14%, nascar 11% and soccer and tennis 2%. Baseball was down from 20% in the 90's.

Ill keep watching until poor Cabs lifts their curse.
But at least for Japanese baseball, its on the way out.
