Training Camps...
In light of an earlier post of me being frustrated with the unmodable experience system... I was wondering if it were possible to have a general set up a fort with his army, stay in it for, i dont know, a year and have the units gain a limited amount of experience. Considering the amazing work you guys did with all the scripting you've done before, I get the feeling that this might be possible, but also more historically accurate: Units rapidly thrown together and given only basic training are not as effective as those given more in depth training. So... Is this possible? or just a bad idea?

I'm not sure scripting could "see" stuff like that and even if it could it would probably be a huge script.

Deus Lo Vault for MTW2 has that , where your general gains exp for being out in the field.
As for reg troops it probably wouldnt work cause all the armys would end up gold.

So... I take it this idea is a rotten egg too. Oh well, it was worth the try.

Late response but AFAIK it is possible to achieve what you want...to what extent I don't know. You can script some kind of counter system that would then spawn said unit with said experience after it reaches a certain point, but I have no clue how to remove units with scripting.

Hmmm... Now it seems one of my ideas might actually get off the ground. Unfortunately, I haven't scripted in years, and that wasn't even for RTW... so... If someone was interested, they could help, but of course this is probably more work than i'll ever realize.
