Why do these types wear ankle-length robes? No other units from their timeframe, even from the areas where these archers can be recruited, wear similar garments. The only similar mode of dress is that of the Ligurian infantry, but surely they would have ceased to exist as a distinct people by the time the archer auxilliaries appeared?
That particular unit was made very early in the creation of EB. If it were created today, EB would represent it very differently. Since it is a very late unit and rarely seen, there was no effort to redo it.
What should it look like then?
