I had a gamespot newsletter to day. In scanning it I saw Empire: Total War listed with a March 31st release date.
Is that official or just a guess?

It is official that the release will be in March. March 31st might just be because Gamespot is playing it safe.
I think it's March 6
31st, wow, that's practically April since the game usualy ships that day and is in stores the following day.
