The end of MS Flight Simulator?

Wow, just heard the news; it looks like Microsoft Flight Simulator is at the end of the road. They're shutting down the studio. Isn't that the longest-running PC game franchise, or is there something older?

Sad to see, while a game that targets a pretty small group of people it was still good games.
