An 18th Century Roleplaying Game
Related enough, I figured, to warrant a post:
http://s1.zetaboards.com/18c/index/
For those interested, we've got a little roleplay going set (currently) in 1793, playing on the national level (IE: You control a country, not a person).
The rules section is pretty intimidating, but it's not too bad in practice. If you need any help, feel free to drop me a PM. I'm pretty sure anybody who's been on the ETW forums for any length of time will be able to figure out who I play fairly easily :winkg:
While most of the big powers are currently occupied (France, the UK, Russia, Austria), there are currently openings for a number of countries of interest, a lovely civil war in Persia and all sorts of conflicts brewing. A Prussia would be nice as well :P
If anybody is looking for a less time consuming role it's also possible to sign up (with the original claimants permission) for a position as either the military or political arm of a country, splitting control and dividing up responsibility. It's quite a handy system. Anybody interested in signing up as the Russian military is welcome to do so. :gring:
So jump in. Sign up. Conquer the world :gring:

I should have known. :snobby:
It sounds like fun though, and could be a nice diversion to some people who are climbing the walls trying to wait for ETW. I have no idea if this is the right space though, local mods probably will ~D
Re: An 18th Century Roleplaying Game
Since this isn't really related to Empire it probably doesn't belong here.
Instead I'll move it to the Entrance Hall, and leave a record here for a few weeks so people browsing here will still be able to see it.
Sounds like an intersting game though. :2thumbsup: Should keep people occupied while we wait for Empire. :laugh4:
Re: An 18th Century Roleplaying Game
Curses! Foiled again! And I'd have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids! :gring:
But yeah, it's a good distraction during those long waits between classes, or, if you happen to not be in college, any time you happen to be bored and in a wordy mood.
Good to know I'm not getting instabanned, though :tongueg:
EDIT:
Alrighty, that'll work. It'll probably get more exposure there anyway :D

Tsk tsk, you should be LEARNING right now. :hairpin2:
Speaking of classes, I have to go learn to math. Ah, the joys of early semester review accompanied by daily quizzes :blankg:
Re: An 18th Century Roleplaying Game
You guys should learn from home like me! I get to earn a degree while simultaneously doing whatever I like.
It's the only reason I can spend so much time browsing The Guild :laugh4:.

Worse still, I'm a teacher at a business school and I read the forum while I'm in class :laugh4:
