Parthian Satrapies V 1.0 - My first submod for EB :-)

Parthian Satrapies submod current version 1.1 : allows you to have Satrapies for Pahlava like Arche Seleukeia.

In this version;
Pahlava : 12 Satrapies
Arche Seleukeia : 11 Satrapies

I tested on alex I have no idea on other game engines but as I just added ancillaries it should be working on other game engines as well.

I added my backup files for Export_ancillaries and export_descr_ancillaries files in my rarred folder, but I advice you to back up your own files, because I use minimod of lz3 and have no idea wether his pack changed these ancillary files or not.

What you must do is just build a proconsulars_palace namely just make Hekatompylos, Baktria, Patala, Persepolis, Babylon, Seleukeia, Ekbatana, Susa, Alexandreia, Pella, Armavir, Ipsos a large city. You do not need reformed parthian goverment. but do not forget you have to capture them first :duel:
and of course put a general in that cities some time :idea2:
Pahlavan faction leader and heir cannot be satrap in non-Royal Satrapies, also a general who has 8 ancillary cannot be satrap, either. As you know it is hardcoded by the publishers.

I tried by using FD and it worked great. But as I am playing on my former saved game I will test it wether it will work on saved games or not.

Instructions:

-download and unrar it has no password :egypt:

-use my backup ancillary files or back up your own files.

-copy export_descr_ancillaries file into Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\EB\Data folder say yes to overwrite.

-copy export_ancillaries file into Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\EB\Data\text folder say yes to overwrite.

-copy the 2 images in the ancillaries folder (not the folder 2 images in the folder) into Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\EB\Data\UI\ancillaries folder they are extra ones, you do not overwrite.

Future Improvements:

My planned factions that will have satrapies:
Arche Seleukeia : already in EB - I am planning more satrapies for them.
Pahlava: done in my first version - again some more satrapies will be added.
Pontus: I am planning satrapies for them.
Baktria: I am planning satrapies for them.
Hayasdan: I am planning satrapies for them.

Ptolemaioi: Because Ptolemaioi was not a successor state like others mentioned above I am seperating it for next releases.

Known Limitations :

Because of the fact that I need proconsular palaces to trigger my ancillaries, namely I have to build large cities, my mod is not competible with City Mod :sweatdrop:

I am planning to adapt my mod for city mod as well, with some coding I can fix it easily without touching city mod files, because of historical searches consumed a lot time, My next version will be competible with City Mod :2thumbsup:

Help Section:

- I will appreciate if anyone have any idea how the original office names were, I used greek ones of A.S.

- I need a historian for my submod, I am planning to edit my submod in detail.
But I have no idea which factions used satrapies. and the capitals of their satrapies, otherwise my submod will be unhistorical...

and please if something goes wrong report me; I ll do my best.

I think I should change the name of my mod, because it is about to force the limits of its name :beam:

P.S. I will appriciate if anyone have any idea how the original office names were, I used greek ones of A.S. and if you have some info on names of 18 (IIRC) satrapies of arsacid kingdom and their capitals.
Although I also added unhistorical satrapies like egypt, india, makedonia, it is up to you to capture them or not.

thanks mate, though I was about to lose my hope, my one week strife worked great.
I excluded my faction leader and heir, if you want you can give them easily.
just delete two lines :book:

also if you want I can form a satrapy system for makedon as well, I am planning a very detailed modification in which I will give Baktria, Hayasdan,too.

P.S. You do not have to name them as satrapies, governor, king, so long as you added in descriptions you can even name your governors Emperor, Godking (mostly Ptolemaioi) etc.:book:

Just a minor suggestion, to get rid of the Seleukid anchor as the ancillary, you might try convert the beautiful Pahlavan emblem https://www.europabarbarorum.com/i/m...n_13pah_on.gif to .tga format and proper ancillary size and use it instead.:idea2:
I have no access to my computer with EB right now, but I will surely try it myself. If it works, I will be glad to help you with the update.:yes: (If you will not have it done by that time already, that is.:beam:)

Good point, I am planning to use factional symbols, the only point I am not sure if I edit that image and connect my ancillaries to that, do I need to edit other text files or not.
namely I mean I do not know if I need to describe that image file in any text file or it will be enough in ancillary files to write its address.

Maybe you can include it in the minimod pack?

I just use ancillary files no idea if LZ3 used subs that changed ancillary files or not but I will PM him, if he can do it for me or not, but at the moment I need historians to improve my mod.
-one more thing is : as I need large cities I am sure that my mod cannot be used with city mod, because I need proconsular palace to trigger my ancillaries, namely large cities :shame:

edited: I added my testing secreenies for my next version that I am planning to upload this weekend, the testing phase had no problem as you see in my screenies :yes:
now the only phase I left is coding ancillary files that is easy part for me :egypt:

P.S. I have some other good news but I am keeping them as a surprise at the moment :2thumbsup:

I am planning to use same roman goverment sytem for other faction, too.
I hope it works great like satrapal system.

Though I am planning to add other offices a cabinet like goverment sytem, no idea at the moment,
because roman office system is handled by traits not ancillaries, and I do not want mix it up because though I can count myself good on ancillaries, I cannot dare modding traits.
As you may know many bugs related with traits, for that reason I decided to mod ancillaries so as to get CTDs as minimal as possible..

I'm using Alexander.exe and the mod works fine for me, so I'm assuming so.
