Trouble Starting EB1.2

Im having trouble starting EB12. I've downloaded EB 1.1 and 1.2, and I have installed them on a clean RTW 1.5. Now my problem is that whenever I run EB, EB only runs 1.1 and not 1.2. I've followed the installation guide and I've tried installing EB like 4 times (not in one day but over the past 2 months or so). So I put RTW in HP (C:) and I've put all EB installations in C:\Rome - Total War. EB1.1 is in its own folder called EB and EB1.2 is in EB12. Btw im on Vista. So if anyone could help me with that problem that would be great.:2thumbsup:

EB12 is just a patch. You have to install it into the same directory as EB11.

Since you are using Vista I recommend the following procedure:
1. Install Rome: Total War into a directory called 'Rome - Total War' (or anything you like). The installation path should read 'c:\Rome - Total War'.
If you have the gold (or eras) version it is already patched to V1.5. If you have the original version you have to patch it with the official patch
2. Start Rome and make the configuration settings (graphics, audio etc), then quit the game.
3. Copy the whole directory 'Rome - Total War' including sub-directories to a newly created directory 'EB'. The full path should read 'C:\EB'. You will use this copy to install EB into. This way if anyting goes wrong installing EB you spare yourself the re-installation of vanilla Rome
2. Install EB11 into the directory 'c:\EB'
3. Install the EB12 patch to 'c:\EB'
4. install the hotfixes (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=109936

You have to install EB 1.2 on top of 1.1.

If you installed EB 1.1 in C:\Rome - Total War then 1.2 should be installed there too.

There should only be 1 EB folder.

Well... somehow I managed to get it working thanks to you guys. I sorta just messed around with it and followed some of your advise but it seems to be working now so thank you.
