After Ares and Andres, (current games) Caius and I are scheduled to start ours. As such, I am opening the signup sheet, unless it's a little bit too early, in which case the moderator can temporarily lock the thread. Your choices are:

15 players.
Opening scene: The community leaders of Cheesetown have arranged for a religious retreat in the Calzone mountains, where the Greenpepper National Park is located. Here, there are a few small cabins scattered near a stream, and several campsites and trails that lead all over the mountain range.
Upon reaching this camp, the bus started having engine trouble and died. If it were just the engine, they would have had no problem, but the emergency radio went dead after the very first night. Someone in this mountain range has some reason for wanting to keep the churchgoers in the woods, and it is up to you and the rest of the Cheesetown residents to capture the criminal among you and survive the horrors that were about to unfold.

After the events in Raccoon city, the survivors flee towards a nearby logging village, and are confronted with a new resident evil.

Night Zero-
The game begins with an umbrella agent shooting an FBI agent who has been tracking him since the incident at Raccoon city.
Umbrella Agent:
"It didn't have to come to this... you could have just let me escape. Was it worth it?"
The FBI agent could barely speak, as his lungs filled with blood. The commotion attracted the attention of some black birds high above them in the trees, and the shotgun blast had spooked a good number of them into flying away. A few birds who were trapped in the blast radius fell dead to the cold frozen ground.
"Hmph. Try and enjoy the precious remaining time you have left on this earth." The agent said while collecting the FBI agent's weapons. "Remember, it's nothing personal, it's just business." The man lay on the ground, turning white and shaking, as the Umbrella agent walked away. "If you see Larry, tell him I said hello."
The FBI agent's vision began to fade. He turned his head, and looked around, vainly searching for help. All he could see around him was the trees, a few dead birds, and a cold fog.
Begin Day One.
Actions:
Search Party
Man the guard post
Attempt to Escape
Form a search party: Search the woods for clues, supplies, and items. If players do this, they will be vulnerable to the zombie horde. If they remain inside the village, they will be vulnerable to a very different threat. Searching adds to a player's Foraging skill and may give them items. Some players can defend one another while foraging.
Man the guard post: The villagers take turns keeping watch at night, and if they spot trouble, then the entire village retreats inside the Barricade Cabin and they combine their defensive ratings to survive a zombie attack. Night Watch are vulnerable to internal threats, and cannot gain valuable items. Manning the guard post adds to a player's Barricade skill.
Attempt to Escape: The villager decides to make a break for it, and get out of the village while they are still alive. All living players can attempt this, but it is very, very risky. Escape attempts have a very low chance of success, but may be the only option when if Plague Demon arrives. Repeated failed escape attempts increase a player's Escape ability.
Attack Rating: For those people who wish to murder, this is thier skill in doing so.
Defense Rating: All players have a Defense Rating which does not change except with better weapons.
So, sign up here if your interested in being in this game, and indicate which game you'd like it to be.

IN! And I'm good for any of the above.
IN! And I'd like to play Valentine's Day Massacre. Me likey the chainsaws...
IN! No preference, but Psycho sounds lovely...
And so on. Game shouldn't be starting for a couple weeks or so, given there are at least 2 games active right now which need to end before I can host. However, we should have everyone signed up and a decision as to which game it shall be, by then. Agreed?
woad&fangs- Reserve player TheFlax (graciously stepped back to reserve player) YLC - reserve player (If he comes back)
I no longer need backup players, and I need someone to volunteer to sit this one out and go join one of the other fine games.

Re: ATPG-hosted small game signup sheet
I'm going to try to keep my play to just 1 or 2 games at a time at the most. So I guess we double-check whats going on when one of these start up. However, I would LOVE to play Psycho or Valentines Day Massacre.

Sweet. I was hoping you'd join up, my friend, but you were on the Do Not Invite list.
Trying to earn that third medal, eh? And remember players, for sportsmanship reasons, it's not ok to vote someone just because they've won previous games.
The story for Valentine's Day massacre will mess with your mind, guys.

Re: ATPG-hosted small game signup sheet
Psycho was originally designed for 12 players, and it seems to be the clear choice.
Would you guys like me to re-write the game to include the other players? It won't make the game any harder, and I can always change or not change who the baddies are/aren't.
You won't be able to guess, in short. Just because the new roles weren't originally mafia, in a game like this, it's really easy to change who the murderer is.

Psycho or St. Valentine's day, please and thank you. I'll probably only be able to do one or the other.
:robot:Will we be getting lasers in either of these?:robot:

umm... lasers... hmmm... Nope, sorry. Horror, not Sci-fi, this time.
I guess I will be rewriting Psycho for 16 players. Possibly adding another baddie to mix things up. In fact, I am going to rewrite the existing characters slightly to throw you off.

Everyone appears to be IN, so when the game begins (could be a bit) just shout your confirmation in the thread. No thread yet, don't bother looking for it.
I'd like to request alternates in case anyone drops out or gets WOG'ed
Thank you. The game will be a rewritten version of Psycho, for 16 players, due to it's popularity. Resident Evil and Valentine's Day Massacre will probably be the next game that I host. I will keep your names on the invite list if you requested to join those games.

I'll need a replacement player to fill YLC's slot. He apparently cannot access the internets.
Still requesting one more player, then... and anyone who is interested in being a backup player.

I was given a pass THIS time by Andres to have 16 players, but that is technically one too many, and I will not be doing this again. If we make exceptions, that turns into "can I have an exception too?" and then there's no point in having the rule.
That's a fair ruling by Andres and I stand by it. :smash:

Re: ATPG-hosted small game signup sheet
I'm afraid that could be seen as almost a sort of anti-popularity contest. I have a better idea;
Those who didn't really want to be in the Psycho game (signed up for Resident Evil instead, or Valentine's Day, but NOT Psycho, or otherwise cannot COMMIT to the game) should voluntarily drop out.
Players can be in, and be in for the entire game, and be in because they want to be in Psycho Mafia, or I'd request that they sit this one out so the more eager players can get in.
:sweatdrop: I didn't imagine a fight over slots. I hope I get this much enthusiasm when my larger games arrive.
