The formation button is the only way to fight the naval buttons. I haven't lost since i started using it, I hadn't won at all before finding it
Agreed. It's also helpful not to use broadsides, they very rarely do more damage than normal fire as they are decidedly innacurate.Quote:

It isn’t exactly normal fire. They are aimed shots. (fire as you bare) that is why they fire at greater angles. For a rake they should all be pointed inward toward the ship, but we are not given the option.Quote:

I understand why they did it this way…we have to live with it and it is easy to win once you see how it is all operating. All you need to do is watch the wind and turn your ships to maximize fire on the enemy.

What I have not found, and it would be very useful, is how to execute a turn about. This would turn the ships all at the same time and reverse the order with the last ship leading. It presents the other side of the ships to the enemy as you pass the same way you came.
It may be in there. I just have not found it yet.
Also someone said that you couldn’t give orders while paused. This is not true. However, you must use the pause in the lower left corner to do this as it does not work when you use the escape key.
Also "P" or the pause button on your keyboard.
