Re: Empire Factions in 1700
And they all have their own respective rebel and republican/monarch factions or something along those lines, right?
Anyways, thx for the info, Sir Beane! :2thumbsup:

I think they can all switch from Monarchy to Republic, and they can probably all re-appear in rebel format. It's hard to get confirmation of these things without access to the files.

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
Hungary is an emerging faction, in the prussian AAR anyway.

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
Oh, I didn't read this at all. Whoops.
Just an educated guess, Finland?

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
There was an emergent faction, in the territory above Punjabi. Forgot it's name though. It had a black flag with moon.

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
Don't forget the Mughals! :beam:

QUEBEC - emergent state in Canada - my mate had them emerge after he destroyed France in Europe.
Interestingly enough he destroyed france only be destroying their land in europe they still had several provinces in america but they were destroyed neway.

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
After I beat the UP they re-emerged near Amsterdam, but with a different flag. At least I think it was the UP. I didn't really check, I just saw rebel scum who had to die.

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
Kingdom of Romania will be an emergent faction:yes::yes::yes:
-
Re: Empire Factions in 1700
I've seen Norway, Gran Colombia and Mexico emerge.
-
Re: Empire Factions in 1700
I updated the OP with factions I have seen (and played as thanks to the new mod).
-
Re: Empire Factions in 1700
There is another one. When I was playing as Prussia, I owned the Wurterburg(sp?) region, I think it was, and during a rebellion, it took over the area and it was a faction called Hessian, I think it was.

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
These look so cool. No longer will I have to fight wave after wave of Rebels (Eleutheroi :D ). Instead, I can inflict my wrath upon individual states and force them into submission! Even better, the emergence of obscure factions, such as Gran Colombia and Scotland looks amazing. Now if only we could play them (I doubt we'd be able to play the emergents, but a man can dream. A man can dream.)

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
When Spain was defeated its American colonies split into Mexico (confirmed) and Gran Colombia (two regions). There are also several rebel factions or micro factions that emerge. New Spain was occupied by Mayan rebels, and Panama rebels. Dutch Guyana was occupied by Arawak rebels, Ceylon by the Kandy rebels after the fall of the Dutch. Mexico and Gran Colombia become minor factions with which you can trade etc. Rebel factions are just rebels like in M2TW and RTW. They have their own color though.

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
Actually all nations can reemerge, right? I had Austria pwned by Poland, but later on it rebelled and would've survived (if it wasn't for my total conquest, heh).
-
Re: Empire Factions in 1700
Yeah, if you can't keep order in their ex-capital, they pop up again.
-
Re: Empire Factions in 1700
That is so cool. Imma send expeditionary forces to every European homeland with colonies, wipe them out and thus liberate their colonies, then pull out and let the new rebels rot in their own stew.

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
Wondering about emergent factions. Are they caused by something I can control, like run of the mill disorder (ie. just like in previous tw games, except instead of "Rebels" they have actual names and can conquer more land etc like a real faction) or are they triggered on certain dates? Like the Mongols in m2?
I'm hoping its the former, since as Britain I don't want to worry about pesky yanks or irish :inquisitive:

It's caused by disorder reaching a high enough level in specific provinces. :2thumbsup:

Re: Empire Factions in 1700

Re: Empire Factions in 1700

Alternatively you could conqueor a region, withdraw, have it revolt, and get a buffer state between you and your enemy. Did this trick to the UK with Scotland as the UP.
:2thumbsup:

Re: Empire Factions in 1700
You could take them first, before you destroy the European part of it.
