After reaching about 1755 and look over at France i noticed that its population was 93 million!?
my, the frenchies have been busy to get a population that high, especially compared to the more realistic 26 million of the England.
Does anyone know what population France starts with because this seems just a little to high?

That's an increase of about 400% over 50 years; Nigh impossible. I know the French have a reputation for Romance (Oo la la), but I don't think even the French are that, eh, romantic.
when i conquered france with prussia at about 1750 they were only 10 million.
Have they occupied lots of territory, vyan? Particularly in Europe?
UPDATE:
weird thing is, i check again about 7 years later, and the population under the town says 10 million now??!
but when you double click the town it says 101 million in the population panel if im not mistaken? bug or something???
and no alexander, as you can see from this image they only own their 2 starting provinces and have been pretty much kicked out of america apart from louisiana and new foundland. weird.

In the regions list you will see the same amount. I had 112 million by 1752 and not 115 like I said in an earlier post.
The amount of population under the name Paris in my game was 11.9 million.
Maybe it is thier whole empire?
