Trying to get a cheat to work properly.
I have won as England without the use of cheats. The only problem is there is this pesky Inquisitor who is picking of my heirs one by one.
I already lost two so I want to assassinate him. I take my tough assassin who is all the way filled up with eyes to kill him, and it's still only 10% success because he has a bunch of personal security traits and ancillaries.
So I do some research and find the remove_ancillary and remove_trait commands. So I go select him and try it, but I get character not found. Then I try typing in his name and it gives the same error. How is his name supposed to be typed?
This is his name: Amatus Iannis
Any help would be awesome. Thanks. :juggle2:

I’ve never tried this with Inquisitors, but if you first move an army unit to each of the eight spots around the Inquisitor and then send an army unit to the spot where he is, he will have no where to displace to and he dies. These nine units must be army units, not agents. Save before you try it so that you don’t accidently displace him before you are ready.

You rock. That guy will face hardships now! Thanks! :)
Re: Trying to get a cheat to work properly.
You're welcome. I know that this works with witches and assassins/spies.
Re: Trying to get a cheat to work properly.
It works with all agents. So die you evil inquisitor. :whip:
Re: Trying to get a cheat to work properly.
For reference, I believe you were trying to remove an ancillery or a trait from the character, as opposed to the character themelves. AFAIK there is no destroy character cheat or anything. You have to do the 8 armies method.

Pevergreen, I believe that he was attempting to remove the Inquisitor's security traits and ancillaries but yes a fool-proof way would be to surround him and effectively ground him into the giant chessboard :D
