It was released today, is it any good? If it is, I may consider buying it when it drops in price as a salve on the wounds inflicted by ETW.

Things do not bode well, if one is to trust metacritic's numbers. :shame:
Prior to release, I really didn't see much in the way of hype for this game. A handful of previews across too few of sites. Which is to say nothing of the RTS that just hit the scene, Halo wars, which will without a doubt overshadow it. To the casual gamer, and without a lot of hype to really make it leap from HW's shadow, Stormrise will be a tough sale. ~:(
hmm...that stinks :P No good RTS games coming out. :P

It says this has been made by creative assembly, is this true?
If this is so then would it mean no more TW games?
I think that CA has many teams that work independently now.
Yes. It's made by the same company but a different office. Stormrise was made by the Australian brance while the recent ETW was made by the UK one.
Merged both stormrise threads.
Yeah, it really sounds like a mess. RTS's are notoriously hard to pull off on consoles due to control limitations- but I held out hope for the PC version. Unfortunately, from what I've read, the PC version simply shoe-horned the console style controls and interface into the PC format. Wow... that's bad. :sweatdrop:
Yep...Ive sadly got it....in which case the only benefit this mess had on me is the fact that next to it ETW looks like a masterpiece... :laugh4::laugh4:
Sold to CEX day after....anyway I just wonder when CA will just concetrate to do what they know best in stead of making one flop after another...??
Both the 360 and PS3 support USB mice and keyboards, why doesn't anyone develop an RTS that supports real controls?
I guess because a lot of people would not have them anyway and consoles are usually situated near the TV where there is often no suitable table to use a mouse and keyboard. I must be in the minority having my PS3 on my desk, hooked up to my computer monitor.
