Re: ..(omg)..please help!
im not sure about the reforms but with the ctd if the crash doesn't happen when the script isn't activated then why not just play that turn without the script? It doesn't hurt to have the script off for 1 turn, i've done it a few times, especially when playing a battle right after loading, and i haven't had any issues.
Re: ..(omg)..please help!
True...I've played from 110bc till 103 bc without the script...trying inbetween to check if it works already.
My guess is that the Marian reforms don't kick in although the conditions are met, because every End of Turn is without EB script turned on...
Re: ..(omg)..please help!
if you can't get marians working you could always try this. check out post 21
Re: ..(omg)..please help!
The most likely cause of script crash is the spamming reform markers. Have you installed the 1.1 fixes? Possibly those will fix it for you. Additionally, you may be able to adapt the 1.2 fixes for the reform markers into the script, if you're not afraid of code and are keen to get your 1.1 campaign further.
Re: ..(omg)..please help!
1.1 fixes were installed before even starting the campaign (june 2008!)
I had CTD's before but re-entering the game some saves back or clicking all settlements before the End Of Turn, did the trick...till now...
As it occurs when the Aedui come up, I used Forced Diplomacy to get hold on all of their cities, accept their capital ofcourse and destroyed alle bluildings. The builldings in the capital I destroyed with trained assinators.
This almost fixed it because in the End of Turn much more happened on the Aedui side but still...CTD...
So, I killed most Aedui familymembers and hoped it was some kind of ' corrupt' element...Still no use...
Is there a way to remove reform markers in the script ?
My last chance...I reckon.
I changed the number for unconditionalMarian reform to 45 already but need at least ONE complete End of Turn with EB script turned on...
Re: ..(omg)..please help!
could you not just wipe out the aedui and then turn on the script?
Re: ..(omg)..please help!
The thought crossed my mind...yes...
But...as I am playing as historically correct as possible...it's my last option ;-)
Re: ..(omg)..please help!
well, lets look at your options:
never get marian reforms
take one city and divert a little so you can get them
and didnt you say that you bought every province but their captial from them? how could you do that and be "historically accurate"??
Re: ..(omg)..please help!
lol...I did bought them but gave them back in the next turn. Only destroyed governant buildings.
But...surprisingly...last night I got the reforms(!?!!!!)
I.e. the familymember with all right conditions became "Reformer"
So I guess the reforms will soon be effective.
that's good but the game still CTD's at the Aedui....
