Getting auto shutdown and overheating message:

After installing the latest drivers for my dell xps 1710 and trying to run Empire TW

I get auto shutdowns and it tells me the rig is over heating, but is it?

It worked ok before I added the new drivers and the system is not getting any hotter or as hot as it did.

What are my options?

It is clean. I have it elevated off the table top so it gets maximum air and it my do it from a cold start before the fans even kick in.

I installed Speed Fan to keep an eye on the temps and the fan RPMs (3 fans) but that does no good if I still get the shut downs….and only on the one program.
