The TWC...is down.

TWC is down. Does anyone know why?

One hour after you posted I could see the site.

Just visited - it's ok.

Downtime seems to occur every few weeks, not much, probably just maintainence.

Downtime on TWC is caused by process lockup due to kernel incompatibility. This needs to be fixed in the near future. It's throwing up 500 errors. I tried to reset the server but then it just hit a database error and went back to throwing 500 errors. Going to have to wait for Sim or GED since I don't have shell access or the requisite process killing instructions.

It appears to be down again, is it only me?

does anybody know if TWC is ever coming back up again? :beam: It's been down for the past 3 days or so... Could anybody else confirm that please? I hope they have not closed it...

I've had no problems getting in the past three days.

Neither have I, but there is a thread in the Questions & Suggestions forum from people with the same problem. Some have been able to log in again using a proxy, although others do use proxies and are still unable to log in. Simetrical has asked for a detailed error report so he can figure out what is going on.

Thanks Ludens for logging it with the guys in TWC... My O2 home ISP is somehow blocking the site access... only VPN'ing it via Finland I'm able to use my ISP... need to whip some as***s :whip:

Does anyone know if this could be down to TWC rather than ISP blocking contents?

Yes we did so and they seem to be on the case... apparently they are having troubles with their host and level3 network unaccessible... just waiting and see :inquisitive:

Hi folks, I have the same problem like some others. I can't access twcenter, timeout, he says. Goes like this for more than a week. Tried three browsers & ipod.
What is going on there? Any solution in sight?

Btw, twcenter is only one of the two boards I follow on a regular basis. (Org! Org!) :juggle2:

The current problem at TWC seems to be only affecting some people - they're trying to fix it with some stuff I don't understand at all....

If you can't provide all of this info (e.g., you didn't write it down), then that's okay, but it will make it much harder for me to figure out what's causing the error. So please, make sure you write down all the details I've asked for the next time the problem happens. Otherwise I'm going to have a lot of trouble doing anything, since I can't reproduce the issue myself.

Some people have posted info that seems to have helped them track possible source of problem down - but they're obviously limited to those that have another connection that works - if you're still having problems later (and it doesn't seem to be same for everyone), post details here and I or someone else with accounts on both sites will transfer info to them, or make sure they've viewed it here..

Exactly that. White screen, it loads and loads and then gives me a timeout.

2. I'm sitting in Germany, timezone should be GMT+1 (summertime, so +2, i guess). Have the same issue since maybe one week. Roundabout.

3. ISP is Deutsche Telekom, and the location is Germany, like stated above.

4. axint.net does work, but it takes quite long to load.

I have been on the phone with both Axis and with Level 3, and it seems there might be a border gateway issue on the Level 3 network.

I have a request from Axis (our host) for failed tracerts that INCLUDE the originating IP address. Most of you are removing the first 2 hops or so from your home network. I understand if you dont want to post them publicly for whatever reason but you can definitely feel free to PM them to me. Sim and I have your IP addresses anyways, but we need every hop to make sure nothing on your network got blacklisted because someone set up a spam mailer or some other kind of crap and then got canned by Level 3.


I dont usually check my .Org PMs that often but I will be for the next few days.
