Changes to hull strength of ships, but no changes to firepower.

How will this affect naval battles? I seem to have gotten the patch earlier than the other continents, and i notice that hull strengths have been increased massively. A 6th rate used to have around 14 hull strength, now it has 2198 (roughly). A 4th rate used to have 21 hull strength, it now has 4152 hull strength, but firepower has not been increased at all, it's the same as before.

So... it'll take longer to blow ships out of combat?

That is actually a UI bug being fixed, not a balance change.
