Change Faction Cheat?

I remember in Medieval Total War (the 1st MTW), there's a command you can do in the console where you can change your faction while playing the game. For instance, you're currently playing as England and you want a change and want to play Almohads, there was a command to change factions while playing the same game/map.

Is there a similar command/cheat in Medieval II?

Unfortunately, no. There is no such thing as a cheat to change factions in-game. The only way you can choose any faction is tampering with the descr_strat file. Other then that, sorry, sadiq.
