A mod for more strategic approach?

Is there a mod which introduces to RTW/M2TW/ETW a map more close to the original MTW? (Or Europe Universalis.)

Explanation:
I really liked original MTW. What I disliked about the newer TW games is the emphasis on the, lets say, operational part of the game. Moving armies around, ensuring reinforements etc.

I like the way of MTW, where the map and its graphics is probably more close the the way monarch controlled their armies.

So I'd to ask, if is there a mod changing map to more "plain" like in the MTW. AFAIK most modifications do just the opposite, i.e. make map larger, add more cities, more units, more moving, more micromanagement :(

Good compromise in this regard is Europe Universalis 3, for example.
