Re: individual warrios stats
That is not possible given the engine that we are working with. You would need to design a new engine from the ground up. However, I don't think, given the size of the armies that total war games deal, it would be plausible for a game to keep track of individual stats for each soldier. Furthermore, I do not think that any army ever promoted someone based on the number of people they had killed. That is not a good indicator of leadership. As for some kind of hero mechanic, that sounds like something out of warhammer of starcraft, and certainly isn't at home in the world of EB.

Re: individual warrios stats
Thanks for the input Foot. In retrospect the whole hero thing certainly doesnt make much sense. As for the statistics, i understand as well. Good luck with EB2!
Re: individual warrios stats
I tried to do a search on the forum for the answer, but I failed in finding it. Will the experience work the same in EB2 as EB? For instance it seems like experience in MTW2 only boosts a unit's attack 1 point or so, whereas in EB it was point for chevron so to speak.

Very much out of EB timeframe, but try googling "Simo Häyä" Foot.
Gotta love the Finns.
SISU!!!
Re: individual warrios stats
That would be "Häyhä" actually, but eh, the dude was a sniper. A good sniper in active service is wont to rake up a kill count to reduce any serial killer into insignificance, as one book on the topic drily commented.
Lauri Törni (died Larry Thorne of the Green Berets in Burma), on the other hand... that guy must've gotten addicted to war or something.
Re: individual warrios stats
Well, CA has helped us today. Expirience shows a rough idea of what you're looking for but it would be impossible to comment and generate names for the thousands of people in your armies.
If it were possible, we would be getting thousands of notices commenting on each and every soldier.
Re: individual warrios stats
probably allot a captain/hero type as head of the cohort(like those in S:TW)and can we put family members into retinues to a general(it would appear in the battle map as part of the bodyguard but with spears instead of a sword in general clothing and skin)and the captain/hero of that unit would have retinues of three and a limit of traits

No. We can only do what is possible in MTW2.

No. Again, we have to work in the confines of MTW2, and as in MTW2 you cannot name captains.

Hardcodes are so annoying for the modders. They can't truly achieve their grand dreams.....

no i mean WE could name them make a list of their names and then probably make a horse a consul?
Re: individual warrios stats
Oddly enough, the game does track individual soldier stats, in MTW each battle produced a text file in which you could read the number of kills and EXP level of each man. Presumably the game must still track the same now, which is why retraining can do wierd things.
