How Good a Computer for Good EB Performance
I'm gonna leave home soon, so I'll need a computer of my own. I've more or less opted out of gaming and I mostly spend my time on the computer watching DVD's, using Word or using the internet to find information. So anyways, the only reason why I'd need anything more than the cheapest piece of junk around would be to play this game.
Until now, my EB experience has been a bit hampered by it taking 30 minutes for a battle to load, for wait between turns being 5 minutes and etc. Fx this leads you to autoresolve more, but since autoresolve is flawed, you end up losing too much.
If I want to play it with army configuration set to Huge (that's the biggest isn't it? I mean the biggest anyhow) and still have the game flow nicely from battlemap to campaign map and from turn to turn (flow nicely is of course subjective, of course I'm not expecting loading times of 0 seconds), how good a computer would I need?

Not very easy to say. I believe you'll find some system specs and their relative speeds by searching the general forum. For instance "turn time" or "system specs" could yield some informative threads.

alright. thx. I'll try that ;)
Re: How Good a Computer for Good EB Performance
It mostly depends on the screen resolution. You get smooth gameplay from a setup such as 2GB DDR2, Sapphire X1650, AMD 64 X2 5200+ on a 17inch (1440x900) screen for instance; and you can even use that to play on a 24inch (1920x1200) screen too [won't be so smooth with hughe units anymore, though]. On the other hand, M2TW at that 1440x900 runs approximately quite a tad worser than RTW at 1920x1200: no hughe units for EB 2...

At this point, you can probably play it on high-end integrated graphics.
