Looking for help in making a mod for EU III
I was thinking about helping a guy make a mod for Europa Universalis III in this timeframe. I thought this would be the best place to get some help, since of you are pretty much uber when it comes to ancient history.
this is the prototype map he is using:

and things are improving quite well:

I'm really excited about this project. I figured if he got some help from this community, things would go alot smoother, not to mention realistic :laugh4:
Basicly, if you have any links/info about factions of this time, tribes, kingdoms, empires, republics, etc... images for flags, names, prefered unit types, etc, all of that would be cool.

At first, I misread it and I thought it said EBIII...
Good luck on your mod, I'm a big fan of Paradox games.

Sounds intresting. I just have one question. What is Europa Universalis?

Oh, cool. I think this is a wonderful idea.

That map isn't very accurate, for whatever timeframe...

My friend, I believe that is why he is here, to get advice from the experts.

Yaa, I remember seeing colored maps of Iberia and maybe Gaul with all of their main tribes, but it was a long time ago, that could be pretty useful. This forum used to be full of information and sources. I've taken a look, but I can't find any of that.
If you have links to any kind of information regarding non Romans/Hellenes, I'd really apreaciate. Precisly the reason why Europa Barbarorum team was formed was because there is not much information about the "barbarians" out there, but they certainly weren't just evil dirty barbarians, and in EU3:IN, just like in RTW, you can pick any nation and go conquer the world. One player (prawnstar) conquered almost every province using the Iroquois tribe, within 420 years. :D

Well, for a map of Iberian tribes/peoples, Oudysseos's περίπλους της τῶν βάρβαρον Εὐρώπς: The Pillars of Hercules is a very good place to start. A lot of good information there, now if only he would do more of those for other areas! (Not a demand, just wishful thinking.) Also, for some really sweet maps from all over the place, here's the link to his parent thread: περίπλους της τῶν βάρβαρών Εὐρώπς
I remember also seeing a link to a website which provides fairly accurate political world maps from various periods in History.
Hope I could be of help!

I've taken a look at those links and they seem very useful. Thank you very much!

This is a great resource for that kind of thing.
