A petition: to allow single-band threads (within reason.)

Resolved: that Lemur will allow for single-band threads, given that some bands are deserving of a thread on their own, such as AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, and *shudder* Green Day. Such bands are popular enough to spark some actual discussion;

That Lemur will be given power to lock threads that the community agrees to be spam, such as a single person posting various obscure favorite bands in individual threads;

That Lemur will do all in his power to avoid locking such threads, such as merging them into a single topic (in the style of the "rock and roll thread");

That Lemur will only use his power of locking said threads in absolute necessity, on pain of mass disgruntlement among the community.

Don't the existing rules already allow this? I always thought the standard is that if it generates decent conversation its fine.

I propose an amendment on the grounds only I can make such threads (which I never do) however, legally speaking such threads can now occur.
