Temporary Installation Thread

This will be incorporated into a full FAQ thread, but for now since it was asked for I figured I should get the information out asap.

To play KOTF, you need:

MTW2
Kingdoms
Kingdoms 1.5 Patch
Lands to Conquer Gold
KotF Mod 1.4

There is a MTW2 1.2 patch between the basic game and Kingdoms, but the Kingdoms discs include it and will install it automatically if you don't have it already. :yes:

Installing the KOTF mod is easy, just double click on it and it will install automatically, thanks to Rowan. :bow:

So with the Kingdoms 1.5 patch.

Which one do I use? I assume it's the European edition. Sorry for being so anal about this.

Assuming you bought Kingdoms in Europe, yes.

If you got your Kingdoms from Europe in English, get the European Edition. If you got it in US in English, get the US Edition. Otherwise, get the version for whatever language your game is in.

If you got the vanilla + Kingdoms Bundle (Gold Edition) get the Gold edition patch in appropriate language.

I bought them separately so it's not the gold edition and Kingdoms was bought from Amazon UK.

All right. Where does LTC keep its save files? First the problems with Broken Crescent, now this. Is this something I can blame Vista for? So frustrating.

Edit: Weird. I have to create a "Saves" folder and drag the file into it. No only does the save appear but my previous ones are there as well.

Are you having trouble accessing the link at the top? Or the links to the download sites?
